Ladies Mobile Player

Fash Addix

KASHI KICKS are a in your face kind of brand competing with designers such as Ed Hardy as they incorporate graffitti/odd prints on their footwear and accessories too. They are on the right track! However, while some of their items are cute, others are all over the place. They need to tone it down with the prints and add more stylish sophisticated motifs. A brand should be daring, but NOT lack luster. AK Piano-09 pink sneaker $99.00 at Kashi

We Love Kicks

Recently I was approached by a few people over at http://www.kashikicks.com/ wondering how they could be featured on We Love Kicks. Needless to say, I was honored that they were interested in using my site to gain some exposure. I simply requested they send me a pair of their shoes to test out and give a review on. They kindly accepted.

The particular sneaker that I was interested was the "Mobile Player Generation 2", as it's called on their site. Upon inspection, I noticed this shoe was a combination of comfort and style. Theyre a lightweight, sleek, casual looking shoe with an air bubble to the near and velcro strapped on the upper. They have a material most of us know as "3M", which is a reflective material (like what you see on the green bean Jordan V's). I like the use of the different materials, because its not too over the top, but still fun and stylish at the same time.

Kashi Kicks has alot of different styles of kicks to choose from. So head over and check out their site. Get ready to see some sneakers like you've never seen before. Kashi Kicks is known for their use of bright colors and crazy materials, so dont be alarmed. Haha.

I'd like to give a special thanks to Jennifer and Alex from Kashi Kicks for contacting me

I like to pride myself on having some pretty cool shoes in my closet, but not a single pair can compare to the veritable works of art that are Kashi Kicks. Ladies, guys, if you like to stand out from the crowd, you’re going to want a pair ~ and ladies, there are coordinating handbags, too!

Head over to http://kashikicks.com ~ not only can your order your own pair of fancy feet, but you can read up on which celebs are rockin’ the footwear, how KashiKicks was started, how music is an important part of the company’s mission, and even check out some reader blogs ~ it’s a very cool site!

Shoes of the Day

Do your feet need more attention? Shoes of the day has the solution: you need a pair of Kashi Kicks. These shoes will leave most cars’ hood ornaments begging for more attention. I am not saying that people will be wearing these shoes dangling from a chain around their necks, because they deserve to be on your feet.

By wearing Kashi’s you are guaranteed more looks, comfort and style without an arduous “break-in” process like most shoes in this style category. They “fit” right out of the box and are true to size, with plenty of room in the toe box. I have been wearing and testing out my new pair of Kashi “AK-07’s” for a month and they are great. Here is the shoe review: Styled after the famous pianist Liberace, these shoes are every bit as eccentric as his wardrobe and on-stage accouterments - they even come with a candelabrum attached to the laces. No detail is spared in the construction from the leopard print and patent leather exterior, to the comfortable insole which is liberally layered with crushed velvet padded goodness - and did you notice the keyboard around the upper and mid-sole? Everywhere we go when we are in these shoes people stop me and say, “whoa! what kind of shoes are those and where can I get a pair?” Just today I heard, “Those are the coolest shoes I have ever seen!” and, “Those are funk-a-licious!” and one word said it all, “WOW!” If you have already read and heard enough and want more, visit the Kashi website here.

Who is Kashi anyway? I thought Kashi was some sort of a nutritious feel-good food. Well, it is if you are into eating organic wood and rocks. But we are here to tell you that Kashi means a healthy new look for your wardrobe, and take it from us, your feet will thank you later! These shoes truly shine without buying any can of boring shoe polish. Kashi has truly meshed together style, design, and a funky new fashion to draw the necessary attention to your deserving soles! Your little pigs will be saying “bling, bling, bling” all the way home from the market, or anywhere you go.

Kashi Kicks; Heavy in Hardcore

With celebrities and artists such as Shawty Lo, DJ Khaled, and Flavor Flav rockin Kashi’s, its no mystery that Kashi Kicks has been synonymous with the hip-hop and urban cultures since its inception in 2006. It was only a matter of time until these unique styles were embraced by artists in other genres who are trying to make a statement.

In a complete 360 degree spin from what Kashi is known for, the kicks can now be found being endorsed by two bands in the “hardcore” or “heavy metal” culture of music. This trend was started in early 2008 when hardcore band Those Who Fear (www.myspace.com/thosewhofear) picked up the brand and started promoting Kashi in cities all over the country while on tour.

The name Kashi quickly began to gain momentum as a result of the efforts of Those Who Fear, and in a more recent collaboration, Kashi Kicks has begun to work with a band from Minneapolis called Venia (www.myspace.com/veniamusic).

Both Those Who Fear and Venia make a very strong statement with the types of music that they create, so it comes as no surprise that they would want to rep something as bold and elaborate as the Kashi Kicks styles.

Kashi Kicks hits the Runway!

Posted on 11/06/2008 at 1:06 PM

The event lasted two days, taking place on October 3-4th of 2008. Kashi Kicks was featured amongst fourteen nationally renowned designers. The Art Institute of Phoenix sponsored Phoenix Runway to benefit Alice Cooper's Solid Rock charity organization. It is a Christian based organization that was started by Arizona natives, Alice Cooper and Steve Savale. Created in 1995, it was intended to be a safe haven for teenagers. Here they can have recreational fun and not worry about the dangers that may find them on the streets. The two founders' motivation was through their own children approaching their teen years.

SNEAKERS: Flavor Flav’s Faves

Kashi Kicks Timeless Collection

Thanks to Kashi Kicks’ Timeless Collection sneakers, the next time you step on a bug you’ll be able to record its exact time of death without any pesky delays caused by a lack of wrist-eye coordination. Now you can turn yourself into the SPCA with a detailed account (minute by minute playback) of your murderous actions, recorded, ironically, with the help of the murder weapon itself! How’s that for an episode of The Outer Limits… *cough*Did anybody REALLY like that show? *cough*

Designed by a jeweler in Pennsylvania, the sneakers in this collection are available in 15 print styles and feature a patterned outersole and an actual watch/clock on the side of the kicks. Our only advice to you before you wear these out, is to fine tune your swagger, because next time someone asks you what time it is…your reply will be: It’s time to get ill!

Outlook Everything

Kashi Brand, the AK Collection by Kashi. This is for sure a company that could become popular in the future. The business minded person I am for sure see the potential in this fashion line. I dont say that about many things unless I believe in something like I do with this company. The Kashi Kicks lifestyle brand is created by designer Alan Kashi. I like creative people like this is why I am blogging about it. This designer who has created this has some major talent as an artist. With so many creative artistic ideas added into shoes, belts and handbags. When looking at the products I think works of art. All so stunning that I can feel the love was put into each design. The colors with graphics are so amazing to see is very cool to the eyes.

I have never seen anything like these designs. I am very impressed with it all. Created many shoes for men and women that are so stylish and fashion forward. Amazing attention getting shoes, handbags, belts and more. It is very unique and different the designs put on anything it would become popular. Being a woman those graphics would be great on clothing like tops, jackets, dresses, skirts, heels and even sexy boots could be so neat. I am for sure a fan of this fashion line. I think for sure it is a company to watch with the potential to become the next big thing in fashion.

NEW Mobile Player Generation 2

Kashi Kicks is set to launch the new line of Mobile Player shoes for both men and women!

The newest line from Kashi Kicks, entitled the Mobile Player Genereation 2 is about to be launched. Featuring 4 different colors, these shoes are available in both men's and women's sizes. Following on the success of the previous Mobile Player line, the new line also features velcro straps. Ask for them at a store near you.

Sole Voice

Montezuma’s Revenge?

Well, sort of.

I don’t claim to be famous in the blogosphere, but I think a lot of fashion bloggers generally know that someone is going around scouting blogs and giving away shoes from Solestruck. And that happens to be me.

Anyway, so a few weeks ago, the position was polarized when a representative from Kashi Kicks emailed me asking if I’d like to sample a pair of their sneaks.

My automatic reaction was a resounding “YES.”

I’d heard of the brand before. Mostly from BDaddy Bryce, my boss, who got to go to the WSA Conference in Vegas. The shoes are definitely hip-hop and full of bling, and after watching a few videos about the brand, I understood that these shoes were meant to be kind of like jewelry for your feet. And knowing me, a total hipster/prepster, I wasn’t sure if they would be my style, although I’d been jonesing for a pair of skate sneaks.

After much deliberation, I settled on a pair of their Matador Pianos (they retail for $99), from their signature Liberace line, which is inspired by the flamboyant pianist of the same name. I wanted something a bit more downplayed so the shoes could be integrated into my wardrobe, and this seemed like a viable pick. Despite the fact that there are piano keys on the panels and around the border, and the entire upper seems to sparkle, the color palette is actually relatively subdued compared to some of the other shoes. The blacks meld well with the white and silver, while the traditional “matador” red adds a little kick.

After I’d placed my order, I started going out regularly to check the mail whenever the UPS dude came to the office. Really. I was that excited.

So of course they come on a Friday, which I have off. Monday comes, and the box is waiting for me on my desk. After inspection, they’re really everything I hoped they’d be. They have sparkly laces, with extra laces if you decide to change them. They came with a certificate of authenticity, and a chandelier keychain. Bling-bling, baby!

I wore them all day yesterday, even though I was wearing gray slacks. Hehe!
Overall, they’re pretty comfortable, and they accommodated my wide foot, which is always a plus. However, I didn’t realize this when I ordered them, but I chose a men’s style, and men’s shoes fit a bit differently than the ladies. It’s a tad long, but I think if I sized down, they’d be too small. And the arch is a little too far up on the foot. I suppose if I’d realized when ordering the shoes that the “M” next to the size actually stands for “Mens” instead of “Medium Width,” I could have chosen a shoe labeled as “L” for “Ladies.” My bad!

In any case, I’m enjoying my new glittery and bejeweled shoes, and they’ll totally be fun to wear around town.

Oh, and I made another episode of SoleVoice talks shoes on YouTube so you can get a few more views of the shoes.
Enjoy!
-Danielle
