The event lasted two days, taking place on October 3-4th of 2008. Kashi Kicks was featured amongst fourteen nationally renowned designers. The Art Institute of Phoenix sponsored Phoenix Runway to benefit Alice Cooper's Solid Rock charity organization. It is a Christian based organization that was started by Arizona natives, Alice Cooper and Steve Savale. Created in 1995, it was intended to be a safe haven for teenagers. Here they can have recreational fun and not worry about the dangers that may find them on the streets. The two founders' motivation was through their own children approaching their teen years.
Along with benefiting Solid Rock, the event was created in order to create a more affluent fashion scene in throughout the city of Phoenix. Thanks to this event, more than 300 local college students could gain experience in High Fashion. Kashi Kicks is proud to have had the chance to be involved.
